We can take your photo and format it using approved software for New Zealand and most countries passports and visa requirements, as well as gun license or other identification needs.
We can print your passport photos instantly or we can email a digital copy to you.
We use the Department of Internal Affairs’ checking service to ensure the images meet the requirements. The software will provide us with a confirmed acceptance certificate.
Accuracy: It can be hard to take your own photo at home and have it pass the acceptance standards at Internal Affairs.
The passport photo hardware used to take the photos at Lagans Pharmacy is automated and intuitive for correct positioning, using biometic face recognition software. Photos cannot be taken until a number of automated criteria such as lighting, position and eyes being open meet pre-determined passport photo requirements.
As a result there’s less risk our passport photos will not be accepted by the relevant passport authority.
In the unlikely event that a passport photo we have taken is declined by Internal Affairs, we will provide a free replacement set of photos.
What you need to know:
If you are applying for a passport using a paperbased application, then you will require a printed copy of your passport photo.
If you are doing an online application for your passport, then you will require a digital copy of your passport.

New Zealand, Australia, Great Britain, United States of America, India, Japan, China and more. Please ask if your preference is not mentioned here.
Costs:
The cost is $20 for either 4 printed copies or a digital emailed image. $25 to have both of these options.
